Tailored Support & Advocacy for Underserved Communities

At the CKA SAVE Project, our distinctive focus lies in empowering student-athletes, particularly those from underserved communities, through a deeply integrated approach to academic and athletic development. This holistic model ensures that student-athletes receive not only the guidance and resources to excel in their chosen fields, but also the critical preparation needed for success beyond sports in an increasingly complex collegiate and professional landscape. By recognizing the vital importance of balancing academics, athletics, and personal well-being, the CKA SAVE Project provides a comprehensive support system tailored to the diverse and evolving needs of each individual student-athlete.

A key differentiator for CKA is our commitment to implementing innovative programs designed to tackle the specific challenges student-athletes face in the 21st century. These initiatives go beyond traditional support, enhancing academic performance, athletic skills, and personal development by incorporating crucial elements such as financial literacy, responsible personal branding, and robust mental well-being strategies—insights directly reinforced by the recent Black Student-Athlete Summit. Our organization has cultivated strategic partnerships with schools, sports organizations, and community groups, enabling us to offer a wide spectrum of resources and opportunities, from personalized mentorship and academic tutoring to specialized athletic training and comprehensive college preparation, including navigation of NIL and transfer portal dynamics. These collaborations are fundamental to providing the comprehensive support necessary for student-athletes to thrive amidst their dual commitments.

Our unwavering emphasis on supporting underserved communities is central to our mission, as we strive to level the playing field by providing equitable opportunities for all student-athletes. We deliver personalized support meticulously tailored to individual needs, encompassing one-on-one mentoring, customized training programs, and targeted academic assistance. Beyond direct student support, the CKA SAVE Project is a proactive advocate for essential educational and policy changes that benefit student-athletes. Under the experienced leadership of Dr. Keith Adams, our organization actively works with educators, administrators, and policymakers, including our significant advocacy efforts with The Drake Group, to protect college student-athletes and foster truly supportive environments. Dr. Adams' decades of expertise in both academics and athletics ensure our programs are impactful, effective, and uniquely positioned to help student-athletes achieve their full potential, ensuring "Experience Matters" for every student we serve.
